I don't really know much about revolvers and I have little experience shooting them. However, I wouldn't mind getting something small that I could pocket carry during the summers while still enjoying it at the range. I've looked at the Ruger LCR and that seems to be right about in my price range...
My permit is from North Carolina and we have to take an 8 hour class and pass a shooting test. I certainly don't mind such a small requirement and thought that it was probably helpful for most people in there.

Since moving to Indiana, I've been in this store a few times. I go there for ammo a lot and they seem to have good prices on the stuff I shoot at the range. The customer service is hit or miss. I either walk in, walk around trying to look like I'm there to buy something, and walk out 15 minutes...
I think I would like a .357 revolver (maybe a Taurus model 66) or some sort of 1911 in .45. I'm a grad student, so if I buy a 1911, it will probably either be the Rock Island or Taurus PT 1911.
