I
I’ve used factory A9L ECU with FMU and MSD BTM on a 302 blower set up, Factory ECU with Anderson PMS piggyback system, MegaSquirt PNP 2, and now Holley EFI with my LS swap. I can say 100% that Holley EFI is BY FAR my favorite. I was going to do a roller 351 Windsor for my Fox but decided on...
Holley HP EFI. I have the additional I/O module as well. Holley handles everything from trans brake/bump, boost control, Flex Fuel offset tables, all of it. Absolutely loving Holley EFI.
Been a while since I’ve posted here. Have changed set ups, now Typical LS/Turbo/Glide/E85 combo. Hit my first single digit 1/4 ever last year while coasting after an 1/8 pass. Had total boost in at 5.5 seconds this pass and should be able to get that down to around 2 seconds. More boost/timing...
*SOLD! Thanks INGO
Decided to part ways with my Vietnam bring back 1960 Chinese T53. This was a hard choice but I am doing a build on my car and can obviously use the extra funds. I’ll post a link to my thread on here with valuable info that was posted by fellow members on the rifle. I do not...
I was actually sort of curious about the museum route. Are you familiar with how that works? Like do I still own the rifle and they will display it or do they have to purchase it?
Yes, thank you for the wealth of knowledge! After reading your posts, a quick google and FB search and I found his kids. I may try to reach out to them to see if they have any documention of the rifle or his career that they’d be willing to share. I don’t have any papers with the rifle as of now...
Thank you for this info! I hadn’t had much luck finding info on Operation Ackron III. Maybe this rifle came from that cache that was found. Also, forgive my ignorance but what is the typo? “Husky” instead of “Hotel”?
Yeah it seems most T53 bringback’s are 1960 date. Nice one you have there. Very cool pieces of history! Is yours all matching numbers? Mine is all matching besides the bolt.
Just acquired a Chinese T53 Vietnam bringback rifle. Didn’t come with any paperwork but the plaque on the side and no importation markings leads me to believe it’s the real deal. Awesome piece of history! Condition is definitely battlefield pickup.
Its just a street cruiser. It’s a blast on the street. Made a few passes last year at Muncie and got a best of 10.9@131.9mph leaving on no 2 step, no boost and no power shifts. Don’t plan on taking it to the strip much, just occasional cruises. Has a decent suspension set up and 275/50/15 ET...
Oh yeah, fully aware of factory bottom end limitations. If/when it splits then I’ll weigh bottom end options, aftermarket SBF based block and rotating assembly or Coyote. Guys are doing some pretty good stuff on Coyote+Tubo set ups. As long as the factory 302 bottom end hangs in there, I’ll...
Lol, it’s past it’s life expectancy, been together for 3 years now. The tune is solid and I keep RPM’s conservative (6k). The old myth is the block will split at 500rwhp. I think mainly due to guys getting carried away with RPM.
Off subject but I finally got my pile up to CJ’s Racing Engines in Auburn and made a few dyno pulls a few weeks ago. The car made more than I was expecting for 10.5psi. It does creep a tad, I have seen 11-12psi before. This was my third and best pull, had tire slippage on the second pull. Tried...
Appreciate the info. The car drives fine down the road but I’ve just thought that angle on the tie rod looks odd. Couldn’t believe it used up all the spacers and still was angled like that. Sounds like a pretty narly set up you had there!
