Centerfire Systems, Inc. - Your Home For Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, and Gun Accessories has the Korean 33 rounders for $29 if you don't mind them not being factory Glock. I hear the Korean ones are alright.
One thing I'd like to add as far as windy conditions go: It may seem like a good idea to set up a windbreak in the woods since the trees and plants will break up the wind and make life cozier. It isn't. Nothing ruins a night of sleep like a 300lb broken branch spearing your left leg in the...
Judging by the police response to the Occupy movement, whether you agreed with their message or not, I don't see how anyone could see it any other way. If they did that to college kids loitering in public places, slinging around idiotic slogans, and holding cardboard signs all with an attack...
Mags are back in stock, and they are at pre-panic prices. 40 rounds AK mags for $20, Glock mags for $20, etc. Just won my loyalty, esp since Cheaperthandirt.com is charging $100 for ONE usgi AR mag.
I had the same reaction many are having. Chris was good enough to PM me personally. While I can't afford to shop there any time soon; I also can't blame them if they are subjected to the same market forces that everyone else is.
Moral of the story is: stop buying expensive stuff people. Calm...
I've slept in the cold many times. I'd do alright, esp in the Hoosier National Forest. Would be extra cozy if I had my bugout bag with me. In it, I have 3 pair socks, chemical suit (would keep the warmth in), silk lined jacket, candles/ tinder, water, canned food, SAS survival guide (assuming...
Have been asking around. Including a mental health check is still the most popular. Most favor it in the "been involuntarily committed" form; as well as "Been ruled innocent by reason of insanity."
I'm in the same situation. I have a AK 74 that I bought with the proceeds from an AR that I won on a $20 raffle. Its going for nearly $2000 on gunbroker, even before I add in my many, many Russian factory mags. The thing I have to think about though, is "how much damage will $2000 do to an...
I just bought the Ruger LCR in .357. Not held, shot, or carried the S&W, but I trust Ruger to have overbuilt everything on the LCR. Also, I got it new online for $100 less than retail, so there is that.
My initial impressions: Man, it is hard as hell to get the cylinder to come out this...
I'll have to drop in again. Haven't been in for a a few years. Got a great deal on Crossbreed Supertuck for an XDm 40 last time I was in. Owner literally sold it off his back at a substantial discount.
What many of them don't understand is that it wouldn't be citizens fighting the military, it'd be citizens fighting the police/ security forces; and only long enough for the military to step in and protect them; I.E; Egypt.
I can't name one person I know who has served in the military that would...
These petitions are turning into the new "Like if you agree!" on a Facebook post. They accomplish nothing but making people feel good without actually doing anything; while diluting the overall numbers of important ones to the point where they soon won't be getting the required number to...
I think HIPPA laws would not allow for the FFL to know why the person was denied, just that he was. As far as I know, they don't tell the seller what a person did to be denied or delayed, just that they are, correct? It'd have to be the same way.
A few more that I've seen in the last couple...
Someone posted this in an identical thread on another forum. Interesting to see how different states deal with firearm possession and mental health issues.
Possession of a Firearm by the Mentally Ill
They are not found, obviously. No one has asked any gun owner of their opinion on the matter aside from someone that evidently only owns break-action single shot 20 gauge shotguns and; if we are lucky; the "assault model" .22lr rifle/ .410 shotgun combo.
I asked this on non gun specific forums before asking it on here to gauge the response of gun owners that didn't sign up for an obviously pro-gun stance first. So now that I've gotten some replies from them, I'll ask here. (NOTE: These are not my suggestions. I'm just compiling them as I see...
