Some .30 cal cans don't recommend use with .22LR (because it's so dirty I guess).
There's a few .22 cans out there that can be had pretty cheap, so you might consider getting one for .22 and one for .30 cal/.223.
Of course you will have 2 tax stamps, but if you went with a lower dollar .30 cal...
Get in touch with Glock or a local armorer. I think glock made an updated extractor that fixed it in the 9mm guns, but not sure about 45's.
You could try an aftermarket extractor and see if that cures it. Probably wouldn't cost much
I have a Remington Scoremaster .22LR bolt rifle circa 1950's.
Shoots pretty good but I'm spoiled by modern day sights & glass.
The old iron sights don't excite me much.
Not yet. Gonna start buying all the stuff after Christmas.
Making 300 BLK brass won't bother me too much and I have more 223 brass than I know what to do with.
However, finding bullets for cheap is going to be a challenge and I can see how something like that can sour the economics of it.
I...
I love mine. Get a case feeder if you don't have one already.
I used to have a 550, then upgraded. Use the powder check for the #3 station. It's a life saver.
Also, check out some of the 650 upgrades you can get.
This upgrade is mandatory in my opinion...

If you can swing it, the Ruger Precision 308 has been on sale at a few places on-line for $999.
Mine is super accurate and it takes regular 308 P-mags so you can have 10-20-30 rounders if you want and they are cheap.
If you have a 308 AR, it's the perfect rifle to compliment because they can use...
I would consider Anderson a well known brand... Sorry I didn't intend "well known" to mean expensive.
Some lowers made by shops or small mfg's can get kicked back. Seen it happen on a couple posts a while back on another forum
Since I wet tumble with SS pins that are the correct diameter to go through the primer hole, so I naturally de-prime first.
I just like having the whole case clean and shiny like it was when loaded the first time.
If you SBR an AR lower, I would recommend using a well known name brand.
Helps ease the paperwork and eliminates confusion with the ATF.
They get confused easily
I would also recommend just using a pistol brace now-a-days.
Get one that's rubber vs. plastic (like a Shockwave blade)...
Yeah, ammo is a key factor. Hollow points are usually a little more accurate than ball ammo.
Quality ammo will have better components and is usually more consistent in the projectile and powder grain weights.
Quality is important, but mostly it's seeing which bullet weight performs the best...
I saw your percentages on the 2", but how about 4", 6", etc... ???
If you can put all rounds in a 6" circle at 7-10 yards, you're doing very very well for only learning to shoot since May.
There's a lot of shooters with decades of experience that can't pull that off so don't be too hard on...
9mm 135gr HP's from Xtreme.
Just got a shippment of 5000 from them.
They had these bullets on clearance for $55/1000 shipped.
Probably should have bought more, but these will last me awhile.
