      South Bend Gun & Knife Show Sept. 20th - Sept. 21st

      Paid $6 admission. Picked up a mildly rusty 40mm ammo can for $15 and a 20 round box of reloaded Jap 7.7 ammo for $27. Spent one hour there. I learned from Kodiak guys that the steel plinking range targets are going away for good. Just gonna be rifle/pistol and archery on standard paper targets...

      Dry firing

      In USMC boot camp we dry fired for hours at a time. Most times I have was surprised when the very gritty and creepy trigger on my M16A2 broke. Still shot sharpshooter or expert every qual. Inspecting and verifying it was unloaded each and every time the rifle was handed to me ensured the weapon...

      To those that long for "a better time." Consider this...in 1930 a total of 297 law enforcement officers were killed, in 2011 is the total was 72, that would seem to contradict "the good ole days" The US population was about 122million persons back then compared to 318 million now. That's ALOT...
