When I lived down south I hunted with Remington 700 in .270. Awesome gun and awesome round. To me it was a great combination of flat shooting, long range capable, and had great knock down power.
bench vise and a round file. It isn't that difficult or time consuming as long as you don't have any big chips in the teeth. don't forget to clean the channel and oil holes in the bar and dress the bar with a flat file if it has any burrs. just be sure to file all the teeth equally.
