      SP2022 magazine question "plus 2"

Hey fellows. Looking to add a couple 17 round (plus 2) magazines for my sp2022. Through TopGunSupply they offer a Mec-Gar plus 2 or a Sig Sauer "factory" 17 round. They look nearly identical. Which one for optimum reliability? Did Sig ever ship the Sp2022 with 17 round mags? Anyone have...

No thread jacking intended, but how well do these silicone rings hold up to solvents? ie Acetone, brake cleaner, etc.

Something to add material to a synthetic stock

I would be looking at a marine epoxy fairing compound, similar to Bondo but better adhesion and much more stable. Bondo is a polyester resin that tends to crack when subjected to too much load stress. If you need to build up more than .5 inch you may want to look into a vinyl ester compound...

What knife do you prefer for field dressing a deer?

Ive used a spyderco endura the past few years and havent had yet to resharpen it, besides touching up the edge with a honing steel. I have also used a spyderco ladybug successfully, though its much more proficient with squirrels. I'll second folders are a PITA to clean out though.

      44 Nice expansion

Proceeded to take a doe this weekend with the white box ammo. A clean shot through both lungs at 80 yards, easy to follow blood trail, deer traveled maybe 50 yards. I have no qualms with 44s efficacy as a hunting round.

      One horned wonder

Took this guy last weekend. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I'd shot a unicorn. Would have made an excellent 6pointer. No signs of the other horn breaking off, just a stub. Anyone else see anything like this?

Hunting with scents?!?! Help me figure this out!

Word of warning, use caution if you are carrying doe estrous on your person. Iv'e been chased out of the field TWICE by aggressive bucks on my way out after sunset. One of which I was carrying a doe decoy back to my car that had scent on it and I ended up throwing the decoy at the buck and...
