These lowers are made in Newburgh, about 12 miles from the house. It would be cool if they were of good quality. I can buy these complete, cheaper than some stripped ones for sale at the Evansville Gunshow Sunday.
There was a $40 rebate on the 783 I purchased this December 8th. I mailed in the required papers soon afterward. I tried for over an hour this morning to check on the status of the rebate with no luck. Dead ends, error messages, and recorded phone messages that went nowhere is all I have to show...
I thought I'd finally stopped my problem with traspassers and poachers till day before yesterday. Went to check my trail cams and someone had stolen one of them. It's been in the same spot for 2 seasons without any problems till now. The scum who I think took it has no respect for property...
Can anyone here furnish any information on a do it your self merriam turkey hunt? Nebraska or South Dakota doesn't matter to us. We'd like to hunt out of our camper to save a little money. Thanks

Thanks guys, for all the suggestions. I haven't had time yet to clean it up. Momma's had me busy helping finish up the Xmas shopping but I'll "Get 'er done" soon.
I got some thread locker on the receiver of my wifes new 783. I had to reverse the scope bases and now it shows. How do you remove the stuff without scratching the finish? Help keep me out of the dog house, LOL!
It's a Remington 783. I have thought about filling the stock mostly full with spray foam ,then putting a thick layer of devcon, JB weld, or some other type of epoxy then drilling that for some kind of pad.
