Being human beings, no age in history is perfect, but I am getting tired of everytime the time is mentioned the only context given is the litany written above. Truth is truth, but "selective memory" can apply to perspectives as well.

      Thanks.

That's my opinion as well, the name attracts an additional "dollar". And it's because of this I'm critical of the product. They've attracted a new cool factor, watch any NutNFancy review, but the firearm underneath is not worth more than retail. Sometimes not even that.

A good design can still be improved with better fit and function. The LCP's success is case in point. It reached a larger audience in large part because of the name, but continues to be huge seller. I shot one of those Liberty P3ATs. I wasn't impressed. Kahr has also borrowed and improved the...

True true, and arguably make them better. If only a bit...

Good point. I never did read what he carried. The rest of that drama seemed to dominate the details.

When you actually use them, they seem unreliable and flimsy. Given their reputation for "sound" inexpensive carry pieces, when actual use is involved (especially practice and carry) they seem to buckle and crumple. Not immediately, though some say they do, but over time. Kel Tec has yet to...

It's definitely different. Brand difference, pure and simple.

Deal! Which though? That's the problem.

      Revolvers? Still relevant?

I quite agree. Unfortunately the semi-auto appears to be winning.

Indeed. I can't argue with your logic. I suppose I'm one of these guys who wishes he was around for the heyday of the revolver in 70's/80's. Today even Smith seems lax compared to the prior standard. I miss the day when quality mattered in a firearm. Sure you can pay thousands of dollars, but...

I'm already there. It's just something I thought about.

Metal Injection Molding. What's the upside? I've meet few who like the practice and dislike the cost cutting measures of the gun companies. I understand the savings of time and money, but I've never understood it's origins.

I have never gotten into the brand. Some people go crazy for it. What's the deal? Good handguns or over-hyped?
    17. GeorgeCaplin1958

      Agreed.

I'm glad you got something you wanted. That's the important thing.

Glock has lost the mantle. The Gen 4's and current line of Gen 3's are less reliable and more cheap than their older brethren. As long as GB and gun shops exist, I hope to keep finding older Glocks that embody my opinion of Glock at it's zenith. Modern Glocks still work, but they seem to be a...
