Fantastic...Glad to hear that you're going to join us!
Yes. If you're willing, feel free to bring whatever you like. Definitely not a requirement, but certainly welcome.
We are limiting it to pistol and a small section for shotgun though....maybe we'll get to do rifles, next time, if we...
The event is just over a week away so posting up some additional details. If you are interested in attending, please contact me right away to reserve your spot.
The format for the day will be roughly this...
-Safety meeting at 12:05
-Out to the range for some shooting
-Back to the clubhouse...
Well, crud! I would really like to learn more about this, but can't attend as I am hosting a women's shooting event at Riley Conservation Club that same day.
Do you have information you could send me that I could share with the ladies that will be at Riley with me?
I'm also a lefty. My carry gun is usually a 1911 commander size, though I also occasionally carry an xds in .45... and I have a variety of different holsters that I use, depending on what I'm wearing, where I'm going.
I've struggled with what holster works best and I agree, it's not a simple...
The 23rd is rapidly approaching. We have a nice group assembled so far, but room for more. If you are interested, please let me know.
and for Jackson's curiosity...about 15 confirmed registrations received and a number of others pending.
Bumpinig this one.
This event is quickly approaching. Just a month away. Should be a fabulous time.
If you are interested in participating, send me a pm and I'll get you a registration form.
Exactly what I'm trying to do. I've extended several invitations and we're working to talk it up.
Lots of interest, but none have committed yet. I'll keep working on it.
Sorry to hear that. Scheduling is tough. Between the range and the people, there jusy weren't any Saturdays available.
Maybe you could switch for a Sunday? It is an excellent opportunity to get some structured practice time, and a great event.
That's so cool. Thanks for posting it. I'm planning on doing an Appleseed at the end of June with my boy. Have there been many young people at the Appleseeds you've attended?
eta: by "young people", I mean under 18 participants.
Stopped in yesterday and brought home an M&P 15-22 . Kenny helped us find a few things to go with it. My boy was beyond excited and wore that fantastic smile... All. Day. Long. He said it was better than Christmas.
When we got home, he told me, "Mom, we really need to try out all three...
I hope you'll consider coming to the women's event we have planned for June 23rd. Would be a great time for learning. You could get some trigger time in a relaxed, but semi-structured format, and you can't beat the price.
Check out this thread for more info...
If she likes it, can shoot it, and will practice with it, then it's a perfect choice for her first gun.
I had an Ultra Carry II and it was a great little gun. I carry a .45, either a lightweight commander 1911 or an xds, depending on the day's activities.
Where are you located? Maybe there are others interested from around your area and you all could share the drive...
This one is going to be a good time. Plus, it will be an excellent opportunity for us to share ideas and maybe even work it out to get an event in your neck of the woods at...
Looking forward to this event. We have several businesses volunteering to support it by donating items that we can either use at the event, or even give away to participants.
I have registration forms coming in, but if you're interested, there's still time to get in on one of the free spots...
I got an email today from the Wabash Valley Limbhangers Chapter, of the National Wild Turkey Federation. They are willing to pay for a certain number of registrants for this event. Now, $5 isn't expensive, but get your registration in right away and it could be free. How cool is that?
If...
I was there today and was told that they had a certain amount of ammo in the store reserved for those who purchase a gun. He also said they are looking to stock quite a variety of pistols, in addition to the rifles. About a dozen so far...Sigs, Berettas and Rugers.
