      Question for the rimfire folks

CZ for the upper average guy and money, Anschutz, Cooper, Volquartsen Summit is somewhat bolt action but built like an auto looks. Anything below the CZ in American manufacture is just average gun, Savage is probably hands down the best for dollar spent in avarage rimfire bolt actions.

      4064 Powder life???

Metal cans or plastic ??? I have seen some IMR/Duont powders turn to brown dust, that was from the late 70's cans and a home that did not use much a/c or a dehumidifier.

      Hiking in Wyoming

Spent a lot of time in NE Wyo, try to get to Devils Tower and Hulett area, very pretty and neat little town...then on to the Black Hills and into SD. Feel free to contact me by PM if you need any info on that area (Crook County, Wyo). I know a bit about SD too. If you happen to be thru there...

      Midwayusa and syntech bullet shipping

I am going to go out on a limb and say that is factory defects....first of all the dings are pretty close to the same place on each bullet and I also do not see any "specks" of the coating in the bottom of the box.

      WTB: 12 ga. hulls

I have the hard to get Federal Gold Medal 12 ga ribbed hulls, 1000 of them at 4 cents each. About 1000-2000 Remington Gun Club green hulls at 1 1/2 cents each. Possibly some Remington STS green and tan Nitros, but only a few hundred of those at 4 cents each. Located between Muncie and Kokomo.

      Gun Sales

It always amazes me what I see at Cabelas as far as "buyers", most are inexperienced and we all were at one time. Sometimes I just stand close and try to listen to some of the conversations between new buyers and Cabelas staff....makes me wonder if they ever understand about the correct ammo and...

      WTB: .22 bolt action

I have a Marlin...the true older Marlin model 25N. It is a magazine fed bolt with wood stock. I think I might have two mags with it also. $130.00. On I-69 between Indy and Ft. Wayne, but get to NE Indy fairly often.

Do You Field Dress Your Deer Kill or Haul It Back to Camp?

When I am shooting does out west, many times I have pulled the trigger, field dressed and hung her in a tree (head up) all within about 10-12 minutes. I just like to get the heat out quick and let that blood drain the quickest I can.

100 Yard Round suggestions for 357 Lever

I played around with deer load development rounds several years back. As a whole, the heavier bullets grouped the best. I settled on Hornady 158 XTP and my buddy killed several deer with that load. From what I remember the 110's and 125 grouped horribly.

      9mm 115 vs 124 vs 147 ??

I tested around 12 different factory loads thru a Wilson carbine and hands down the 147 and 124 were most accurate by a huge margin. I stopped buying 115 a couple of years ago because I just don't like the "snappiness" compared to the 124 and 147.

      Ammo cans around Indy

Looking for some of the big ammo cans, bigger than the standard which holds about 8 bricks of 22's which is what I consider the most common. I don't know the official caliber designations but ones I have seen will hold about 3-4 cases of 9mm depending on how packaged. I also would be...

Advice with bolt action rifles from Ruger and Savage.

Don't know about the last several years but for about the last 20 before that, Savage bolt guns in the model 10/110 type actions were the best bang for your buck and normally more accurate than most others. I have owned several Ruger Ranch Mini-14's and while they are reliable and built like...

      Favorite .22lr small game ammo?

I recently killed about 70 prarie dogs with a Ruger 10/22 and Lapua Match ammo which is not flat shooting at all. Flat shooting is not a requirement and the faster flat shooting ammo you have will likely result in very poor grouping. With that said, some of the most accurate 22 ammo will be...

      Glock 19 ammo

My 19 has about 40,000 rounds thru it and it likes most all ammo including my reloads. I have also almost completely stopped with all 115gr as I have found accuracy and less snappy recoil with 124 or 147. 147 is actually my preferred round the last several years. I do not do any steel cased...

      Reblue or Cerakote Remington 870

Looking for someone to refinish an 870 receiver/tube. The barrel is fair condition and can get by without it. I am open to reblue or cerakote either one. I already have some monies and time tied up in this gun and the plans are to donate the use of it to the high school trap league team in an...

Help with purchasing from private party, with shipping involved.

Post the sellers general location, then you might find a fellow INGO who is close and could give a reference (do this by PM) or might even know the seller. I always use a USPS money order because the postal inspectors have no problem going after a fraud. Do everything by email to start with...

      Selling a collection

He will reap the most money selling them himself on gunbroker. With that said, figure about 3 hours minimum per gun in taking pics, listing, answering questions, receiving payment, contacting receiving dealers, packing, shipping, following up on the sale and watching to make sure delivery was...
