The two local IDPA clubs have gone to setting up 3 (sometimes 4 when they are frisky) and shooting each twice. Does not help conserve ammo but it saves a bit on targets and cuts down design and set up and tear down labor needs. Changing starting positions can make it a lot like shooting 2...
Boss Hoss normally cuts and pastes this but I don't have a life so I'll beat him to it this time.
Our July USPSA Pistol Match is this Friday/Saturday (7/16-17/17). Sign-ups open at 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM and we shoot at 10:00 AM both days. The new shooters meeting will be held at 9:30 AM on Bay...
Good sign but I'm not sure that matters, how many would shoot USPSA if they had to pay for new ammo even at 2019 prices? Agree that it will be great if we see both ammo and reloading components come back at reasonable prices, and that happens before too many clubs drop out.
Been allowing the .22 option at Owensboro all year, I haven't shot it because I still have a few 9's laying around. Back to the original premise (higher powered ammo not available or too expensive too shoot USPSA for most), .22's are still fun.
When you consider that some are shooting minor...
.22's work for USPSA/IDPA, with some consideration for steels.
There are those who think .22's aren't right for USPSA, but I'm old enough to remember when the same was said about rifles.
You can get kicked off of Facebook for 7 days for saying that. I know this.
Give it a few more years. Shouldn't take long, particularly with a wide open border.
In areas where black bears and humans interface semi regularly, it takes 1 bear to be a major pain - knocking over trash cans - trying to get anywhere that they smell food - tearing up tents if near camping. I learned to hate black bears entirely at a remote campsite that was canoe access only...
No worries, just wanted to caution the person investing in other event tickets that particularly with outdoor events Murphy can strike.
Your mention of Holiday Havoc reminded me of the etc. Some idiot anti gun nut spread nails about during the first one and some folks ended up needing flats fixed.
Maybe. Barring a long wait for storms to pass through, difficulties/breakage with stage equipment, an all day slow down from pasting/replacing wet targets, a temporary match shutdown for an ambulance run, etc..
I haven't been to that many matches, but have been to enough to see all of the above...
