Why Prep? The surprisingly solid mathematical case.

No reason to feel weird about it. It's perfectly reasonable to prep. What's weird is NOT prepping. https://www.indianagunowners.com/threads/why-prep-the-surprisingly-solid-mathematical-case.546131/

You SHOULD Have A Job Before 18

While the left thinks people shouldn't have jobs before they're 18, they have NO PROBLEM advocating for reducing the age required to vote. Interesting.

Why Prep? The surprisingly solid mathematical case.

It's been about 4 years since this article was last shared on INGO, 6 since it was first published in 2018. The question shouldn't be "why prep," but rather "why in the world would you NOT prep?" The article doesn't get into the preparedness paradox, or the various cognitive & emotional...

      AR bolt gas rings

I perfer the milspec rings because it’s easier to test for when they need to be replaced. Also FWIW, If you’re rifle is in spec, it will run with 1 gas ring. Spacing the gaps is something you can do, but after initial installation, I never worry about it.

Anyone remember his, “Triple Ought?” That was his pre-Y2K novel.

      To the mom's here....

She's not wrong, that's one of the risks of off-body carry. Another is leaving one's bag somewhere unattended, not having control over the firearm at all times, and the resulting accidents, etc. (many of which have occurred with off-body carry). Typically, slower access. Not having your gun...

      Lifetime vs. 5 Year LTCH

Seven states, CO, FL, ME, MI, ND, NH, and PA do not recognize non-resident licenses. If one wants to have a license that is recognized in those states, even though some of them now have permitless/constitutional carry, one needs an Indiana LTCH. ND's permitless carry at first only applied to...

      Cold Weather Firearm Reliability Testing

If one is interested in precision fire, re-zeroing every 20 deg change in temperature is a good idea also.

Porch pirate privacy protection in Quebec

Under Canadian law, I wonder what expectation of privacy a person has outside, out in the open, on someone else's porch?

New Bloomington mayor is about to freak out, put more pressure on her.

Incident occurred at a homeless camp NEAR Wheeler Mission, not AT the the Mission itself (which does a great job, btw). https://bloomingtonian.com/2024/01/09/second-person-killed-at-homeless-camp-near-wheeler-mission-tuesday-in-bloomington-indiana/

Which is more common in Indiana -- 270 or 30-06?

Indiana specifically, I don't know. Growing up in Michigan, I didn't know a single person with a .270. 30-06 was the thing in my circles. What's interesting it to go to ammoseek.com, head over to the rifle calibers, and look at the top calibers by frequency of user searches. Surprisingly...

Media has been bought by "influencers" certainly since the mid 1800's, and probably before that.
