TBH, I may be posting to the wrong thread, but its "popular"/active ;).... does anyone EDC a fixed blade?

      A can of worms

I'd vote Glock.... which is a big up for mag compatability. Chances are greater, if something serious goes down in a supermarket, someone else would have a Glock that mag swapping could be done..... granted the reality of that happening is likely less than .05% if I would guess. Edit: Actually...

@BehindBlueI's So what I'm gathering from this poll is that really a Glock with SCD is top choice. After that.... Sig, CZ, HK, etc with hammers but no safety close second. Whichever one at this point is what I'll prefer; get something with a hammer that's DA/SA or Glock and hope to get an SCD...

Well ok then..... you have more about you and your experience?? Holy cow!! I've been missing driving a manual car again, but consider if I have [another] shoulder surgery, Or something happens to my knee, etc. However, I've never thought about getting a broken thumb or whatnot. And seeing as...

      A can of worms

I considered the P-07 YEARS ago. The slide, or lack thereof, made it difficult for me to grip. But its something I would be able to train on of course. But as you said, it isn't small. Perfect to replace the G19, but I don't recall CZ having a SC option.

It is a great little pistol. Just doesn't have anything like a SCD.... though that isn't anything that cause ANYONE issues if training right and enough. A caviot though is I'd like to give my wife the Shield Plus..... IE, an excuse for me to get more guns.

Your thought I just go big and get 45 ACP? Lol. To be more serious, do you carry 1911 often?

      A can of worms

Greetings fellow 2A supporters. I'd like to do a poll to get an idea of where my mind should go. Bottom line is this a Glock vs 1911/2011 poll based on what I a consider optimal for EDC.... My requirements; mostly in order of importance: Hammer fired (1911) or Striker Control Device (SCD...

      To the mom's here....

So this isn't ONLY for moms, but I want to get my wife more involved in CCW. IE, I would like her to carry daily. I have a Shield Plus I am considering giving her but for her to carry, off body is likely her preference. Does anyone here have experience in off body carry (gals or guys)? Then...

Good morning! If you're not frozen, where are some good spots to get more advanced training around the Eastpart of Indianapolis? I've found a place called Native Executive Security in Noblesville, if anyone's gone there? Thanks!!
