      Hunted the early park draw hunt at Summit Lake today. Got the button buck at 0700 and the buck at 0712. Was a quick and good morning.

      Has anyone checked out the new Protek watches? They are made by the orignal owner of luminox. Seen them at shot show, and just ordered one. Haven't seen many reviews yet. I'm not a watch guy but have a family member who is big into watches. He said it checked all the right boxes.

      Call the office and get their hours. They have a powder magazine behind the office which is just over the bridge before the primitive area.

      For black powder, nmlra in friendship, IN. For substitutes, walmart. Goex should be available next year, Deer Creek Products in waldron will have it when available.

      Haven't gotten an email yet, but deer reduction hunt results for the state parks are available on dnr's website. Got skunked on the draw last year, happy to get drawn for an early and late this time around. Good luck to all.

      I keep seeing people mention song birds being killed, I don't have a cat but this makes me want one. I find birds annoying for the most part. We had a barn cat years ago who got excited if he seen me with a pellet gun by the barn, free dinner for him! Little winged bastards reek havoc on...

      During the week is the time to go for shooting the woods walk. This morning wasn't to crowded and the weather was perfect. Had a blast, first time but definitely won't be my last!

      Friendship was dead today it seemed. We walked around the vendor area and checked out things before we come to shoot this next week. Less vendors than normal and no crowd at all. Found a few odds and ends and headed back home. Will be back for the woods walk and running boar this coming week

Gave my supplies to the guy who bought my rifle. Missed it and am back to shooting, would feel more comfortable...

      Hard to find if at all. Saturday morning I found a vendor who had 4 tins of cci magnum #11. Hated to pay this much, but a buddy and I split them, he knocked them down to $13.50 from 15 per 100 since we bought all he had. High priced, but on gunbroker they are 40 bucks or more. Crazy times

      Was down there early Saturday left around 3. The line coming into town was nuts on the way out. Found a couple of reasonable enough priced cci #11 caps and had a hawken follow me to the truck. Not a bad satuday

      Heading out that way tomorrow. Got the itch to build a muzzleloader. Transitioned to just my inline a few years ago, time to add a traditional into the stable again.

      Illinois foundry worker dies after falling into crucible filled with 2,600F molten iron.

      Did a short stint at a foundry. Was glad to get called back from layoff at my previous job. Worked what they referred to as "knock off". Basically played wack-a-mole for 12 hours a day with a sledge hammer. Removing the extra pieces of casting from the mold.
