The Ruger Prec. arrived yesterday. It is built beautifully. stock is rock solid. Safety switch is tight. Handguard is a little canted but you get that with aftermarket handguards sometimes. I may loosen fix and tighten. It will only hold my bipod. You can tell it is because they lay the rifle...
I like the shoot it and see approach. I probably stick with that idea and report back. My first bolt gun... i suppose i could just hate it all together.
What if I just want the front of the gun to look cooler... haha!
I like some of the options people have suggested. I a surprised to be steered away from a muzzle brake. Under what condition do the skeptics recommend I reconsider one?
the rifle is a ruger precision, so already threaded. Ive never shot .308. but if i am going out to longer ranges ive heard its hard to see the shot with out a brake to manage recoil.
get a citadel or Rock island. you are probably just going through a phase and either of those will get you through it at minimal cost. The gun bug has the same side affects on me and a citdel was the right medication.
i played with a cheap 1911 for a little while. not a Llama but a citidel, which is a made by same group as Rock Island, just not a fanciful. It was fun cause it was cheap. i didnt worry about it. It shot more acurately than my sig tacops... haha. It did have some mag sticking issues. Very minor...
Because everyone should have a piece of Mormon history in their possession. :)
For those of you who don't know JMB was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Of which members are sometimes referred to as "Mormon".
I must be new to this. I cant help but think you ruined a perfectly good looking rifle. doesnt the rattle can paint make the grip and foregrip feel.... awful? This is probably something you never intend to sell.
this is what i think when i see someone trying to sell their frankengun... heres a really cool gun that i put together all by myself. I dont want it now that i made it and put 100 rnds down the pipe but you should really want it cause look at all the different name brand parts i used. oh and...
True that. I currently prefer CZ above most... however, their triggers.... one I've tried had a point where the slack is taken up, a breaking point, and about 3 clicks between those two points.
