      Check the op rods for mushrooming, where they impact the bolt for deformation and maybe the hammer for signs of deformation. Edit: Also look at the ejector face and extractor hook for accelerated wear.

      I train no gi jiu jitsu with a friend of mine. He's a former HS state wrestling champion and still amazingly tough. I'd imagine this is something we could work on but neither of us has experience gaining control of an object (gun).

      I'm going with cat or dog(either wild or domestic) or the Chupacabra Raptors usually leave no trace at the scene. Also usually pick a carcass clean and don't remove appendages.

      I think it's a great idea. 250gr subs out of a suppressed Henry X model..... sounds interesting. I can't say I would thread a valuable antique, but anything short of that I'm all for it.
