In the case of my gun I haven't messed with the length. It's the same length with or without the carbine hand guard as I run mine suppressed all the time. The Omega 9k is the smallest (shortest) suppressor on the market. The carbine length hand guard just gives me the option to cover the can up...
I just picked up a Helix. I will be putting it on my meter and reporting the numbers in a future video. I like the concept, I will say they're attachment method to the rifle leaves much to be desired. I hear they're working on a QD solution that simplifies the process. It seems to be quality and...
It could be, but it could also be a much larger issue such as grip/mag well angle/geometry. It looks like Remington knew there was a problem which is why they redesigned the follower to push upwards on the nose of the bullet. But as you can see how they stack in the magazine, it doesn't have...
I've seen one or two positive reviews, but it's from the same people that said the Gen 1 gun was fantastic just before it was recalled and production was stopped...
It seems like the nose-diving is a common problem with the guns. I'm going through YouTube videos bookmarking them. It's happening a lot with many different guns. Here's an example.

It seems Remington's infamous quality control (or lack thereof) is still at work here. I've seen a couple of reviews now where issues were had with the new guns. Mine runs ball ammo ok for now, but it seems to have a problem with hollow points. That, and disassembly is even more difficult on the...
I've heard, but can't confirm, S&W has made cuts to the striker channels of later model M&P's to alleviate the hydrolocking issues. This is internet scuttlebutt so I don't place much stock in it. The pistol I used is about 5 years old.
Ironically the M&P has some well known, fairly serious, issues which is why S&W will soon be releasing a M&P II. Don't believe me? Do a little Googling and wait a few more months.
How important a firearms reliability is to you is only something you can answer. If you honestly feel your moment of truth will come in a sterile environment, then don't concern yourself with how well your gun works when exposed to common elements. It's a matter of personal preference.
I was as surprised as anyone. We've tested several striker fired pistols and the M&P was the first to have such serious issues with the water. We checked and double checked, and this particular gun does not like having water in it. I know some folks will swear up and down this is impossible, or...
I noticed a lot of comments on the video about the "excessive wear" on my pistol that was visible when I field stripped it. Some were saying that's not right and my gun is defective.
I took a good look at it today while getting all the crud out of the gun and it does not seem to be any type of...
Thank you! You just saved me from making the same points.
The Legion isn't that tightly fit. If you need to spend $200 in ammo to work out imperfections from the factory on a $1500 gun, then that's an even bigger issue. I've toured several factories (I'm headed to Prague this week to see CZ)...
We talked a lot about this video today. We have lots of plans. I will finally order a Sig P320 for testing. We'll revisit the VP9 (I really-really hope it does well), and we'll do popular pistols like the Glock, M&P, etc.
I'm glad you enjoy the new format.
The Legion is advertised on Sig's website as a professionals (they use "warrior" as well) pistol. It's not advertised as a finely fit target pistol, but as a fighting pistol for pros. http://legionseries.com/
I used CLP Breakfree, the standard military lube for 30 some years which i've used for...
