Has anyone shot the PSA rounds recently mentioned? I'd love to know how well these fly.
77 gr 5.56 is supposed to be a close clone to MK262 Mk2
110 gr 300BLK is a recommended load weight for my 8" Noveske
I gotta admit that my 2nd round of COVID-19 in early 2023 has really screwed up my pallet. It's maybe s l o w l y returning but I still can't pick out the subtle flavor notes. Almost everything is oak and cinnamon. :(
Minuteman = light speedy configuration. Most targets from CQB to 200-300 yds out.
NFA rules out the window so AR platform, ~11.5-14.5 pencil barreled, suppressed, 5.56mm shooting a 69-77 gr load.
Minimum loadout of 6 x 30rnd mags on body with another 6 in a pack.
Enough water, Oreos & Skittles...
Hmm, a small pinhole type rear sight usually helps people with glasses.
Y'all must not have supermodel like high cheek bones like me. The sight alignment works fine for me.
You can get a pretty damn nice scope with that budget.
That would get you into a Razor!

I really like my Vortex scopes and we have a great local vendor; A&A Optics. Of course there's other fantastic scope makers out there...
It all boils down to what target size at what distance right? A DMR build, to me, means hitting a man sized target out to max effective range WITH some extra magnification to PID those long range targets.
2.5-10x works for me. 1-10x & 2.5-20x are already available! Some day soon, we'll start...
I've resisted the urge to modify / upgrade anything on mine. It's shot ~300 rounds with zero failures.
My front sight is a bit tilted but it zero's. Looking at that does bug me a bit. Gee, thanks for starting a new thread that ads another project to my list. :):
You might not need it now but I'd max out the RAM. The SSD will make the biggest performance increase.
I'm not sure if your motherboard can be over-clocked. Maybe google that for a tiny extra bump.
GF & I did some work on her property in Madison Sunday. We got attacked by vampire spiders! None bit her fortunately. Me, 7 bites & found two attached & 3 hiding in my hair!!! It's Thursday now and I'm still paranoid. Every little itch feels like a tick.
I miss surplusrifle.com. I spent way too much time on that now defunct board. So much so that I put on a Mil-Surp rifle class for Revere's Riders. Attendees got to hear stories about the rifles (~15 different guns) AND got to shoot them. If ammo cost & avail come back, maybe we'll do another...
I hope it's not a fad as I'd like to see the prices come down more. I have an AR10 in 6.5 that doesn't get much trigger time.
I'd like to try some 1k+ shooting and my M1A in 308 is coming up short (I'm not set up to reload quite yet).
I just finished Lost in Space S3. I didn't realize it was out so had a big time gap between S2 & S3.
It might be worth me going back and rewatching the entire thing. It's well done.
