I wonder what a rough fix, just to get it safe on the road, would cost? Junkyard doors, etc.
Our Durango was totalled a couple years ago, buddy backed into it with his flatbed truck. Insurance paid us $12000 with me keeping the car, I paid the body shop $3500 to fix it with used parts, and...
I went a slightly different route last summer.
I bought a 2014 Ram 4x4 from the state of Kentucky at auction. Good body and interior condition, clean underneath, but had high miles and the cam and lifter tick those hemi motors are notorious for.
I got the truck for $3500, then spent about...
I put 30 more rounds through it today. Had 1 fail to fire, maybe 20 rounds in. Again, hopefully just from knocking more metal shavings loose from the rifling and gumming up the chamber, but I don't know.
I guess I need to really go at it with a bore brush, so far I've just been using a bore mop...
I've wanted a 22 Magnum for a few years. I decided I was ready for another AR project after seeing prices on the levers and bolt actions I was interested in.
I started with an Anderson lower, added a PSA lower parts kit and a PSA match-grade drop in trigger assembly. I ordered a BCA 22 magnum...
I don't see the value of most ARs outpacing inflation unless there is some sort of manufacturing ban placed on them.
My question on levers - are they cheap now compared to another decade into the future? Or will the current popularity subside?
When there were a decent number of hogs around here, it made getting access a lot more difficult. They were a novelty and considered to be a special opportunity.
We use the Milwaukee Trail between Williams and Bedford a little bit. Lots of vandalism and littering along the trail now though, that the adjacent landowners have to deal with. A few people also use it as an ATV trail (illegally).
It's a shame, we live very close to it but all of the women in...
I've been thinking about doing something similar in my backyard. Any idea how long the log backdrops hold up to HPR rounds?
I currently just shoot down into my holler. It would be nice to have a good backdrop from my deck.
I ordered an upper over the weekend to finish up an AR10 I started on this time last year.
Also ordered a new stripped receiver for a 22 magnum AR15 project.
Low or high fence? If free-range, 100 acres is a pretty small chunk to still-hunt. I think it would be worth it to try to get somebody local to set up a couple bait stations for you a few weeks prior to your arrival.
