      Our 2015 Subaru Forester Accident

I wonder what a rough fix, just to get it safe on the road, would cost? Junkyard doors, etc. Our Durango was totalled a couple years ago, buddy backed into it with his flatbed truck. Insurance paid us $12000 with me keeping the car, I paid the body shop $3500 to fix it with used parts, and...

      New vs. Used trucks

I went a slightly different route last summer. I bought a 2014 Ram 4x4 from the state of Kentucky at auction. Good body and interior condition, clean underneath, but had high miles and the cam and lifter tick those hemi motors are notorious for. I got the truck for $3500, then spent about...

      My new, cheap-ish 22 Magnum

No question. I do like it. I also have a Timney and a Rise Armament, I think this one feels just as good.

      First Time Hunter

Get your Hunter Ed done if you haven't yet, and get ready in time for spring turkey. It's a great way to get started hunting.

      My new, cheap-ish 22 Magnum

I have a an MP 15-22 I really like, never had a hint of trouble out of it. Not a real AR but ergonomically very similar.

      My new, cheap-ish 22 Magnum

I put 30 more rounds through it today. Had 1 fail to fire, maybe 20 rounds in. Again, hopefully just from knocking more metal shavings loose from the rifling and gumming up the chamber, but I don't know. I guess I need to really go at it with a bore brush, so far I've just been using a bore mop...

      My new, cheap-ish 22 Magnum

I've wanted a 22 Magnum for a few years. I decided I was ready for another AR project after seeing prices on the levers and bolt actions I was interested in. I started with an Anderson lower, added a PSA lower parts kit and a PSA match-grade drop in trigger assembly. I ordered a BCA 22 magnum...

The Funny Picture/Video Thread, 14th Edition: Ketchup Farts, Dog Sneezes and Misspelled Tattoos

I wonder what stops a customer from draining a little bit to get a new motor?

      AR15 vs LEVER ACTIONS VALUE

I don't see the value of most ARs outpacing inflation unless there is some sort of manufacturing ban placed on them. My question on levers - are they cheap now compared to another decade into the future? Or will the current popularity subside?

What gun stuff did you buy today?

I found some 209 muzzleloader primers today and stocked up. Been a while since I've seen them locally.

      New Hunting opportunity?

When there were a decent number of hogs around here, it made getting access a lot more difficult. They were a novelty and considered to be a special opportunity.

DNR begins $30 Million Monon South Trail Development

We use the Milwaukee Trail between Williams and Bedford a little bit. Lots of vandalism and littering along the trail now though, that the adjacent landowners have to deal with. A few people also use it as an ATV trail (illegally). It's a shame, we live very close to it but all of the women in...

The home range is coming along

I've been thinking about doing something similar in my backyard. Any idea how long the log backdrops hold up to HPR rounds? I currently just shoot down into my holler. It would be nice to have a good backdrop from my deck.

DNR begins $30 Million Monon South Trail Development

A lot of private land along that route. I wonder how they'll navigate around, or compensate the affected owners of that land?

Anybody bought a gun in 2023?

I ordered an upper over the weekend to finish up an AR10 I started on this time last year. Also ordered a new stripped receiver for a 22 magnum AR15 project.

Anybody bought a gun in 2023?

I got the same for my oldest daughter a couple years ago. She hasn't wanted to hunt it yet, fun to shoot though!

      Tactical Lever Action

      Looks great as-is IMO!

      Remington 350 Legend Lever-action Rifle?

https://www.outdoorlife.com/guns/360-buckhammer/ I'm guessing they're advertising their new round / ammunition, not a new rifle model.

So You Want to go Hog Hunting?

Yeah I guess I was just imagining barbed-wire.. That doesn't slow them down much regardless of height! Lol

So You Want to go Hog Hunting?

Low or high fence? If free-range, 100 acres is a pretty small chunk to still-hunt. I think it would be worth it to try to get somebody local to set up a couple bait stations for you a few weeks prior to your arrival.
