      I just straitened the pin, and ran it back through. The chut stays closed until I lower the ram after de-capping, then it opens.

      I fixed the problem quickly. I could decap on my single stage, but it defeats the purpose of a progressive press in my opinion

      I skiped on the strong mount as it would place the press too high for sitting. I have not tried a roller handle, don't really see the need personally. I use Lee dies, as I already had them. My only pet peve with the 550, is the spent primer chute. I riged mine easily though.

      If you stink would video make any difference ?

      Video helps me see what I did wrong, or well in a match. Reloads, transitions, pulling shots, etc. Without video, I would have nothing to study.

      Nothing wrong with starting on a single stage. I did so for three years, before I bought a dillon. It was a very good learning experience.

      I don't concern myself with headstamp. The variation also comes from every bullet not being the same length. The die seats on the ogive, not the tip of the bullet. Grab ten bullets and measure them.

      I was at the same place, and decided on the 550. I use Lee dies, as I already had them. The powder drop is accurate, and I actually like the manual index.

      You can tune the RCBS to run faster. There is a You Tube video on how to adjust the settings. I used mine to load 9mm and .223 before I got my Dillon.
