SSK Industries will chamber a Ruger #1 in any of those big rounds you want. Back in the 90s, J.D. Jones, the owner, used to run ads in Shotgun News with a little picture of all those different rounds lined up next to each with the slogan "Put one of these in your Ruger No. 1 and smoke...
A decade (or two) or more ago when the skorpion pistol was fairly unknown in the West, Pete Kokalis had an article in Shotgun News about them. He said they were somewhat favored by professional hit men in South and Central America - very easy to conceal, minimal muzzle report, and a mag dump...
I'm worried about the predicted low temperatures these next couple of nights. As far as I know, hummingbirds can't really survive temperatures that low. :(
It's been a long time since I've seen any of those kits available. Neat little guns. I always thought it would be cool to SBR one, so I'm glad to hear you are going that route and not fixing the stock in-place.
When you get delayed, they have 3 days to either call back with an approval or a denial. If they don't call back within that time frame, the dealer may go ahead and complete the sale. That is at the discretion of the dealer though. Most big box stores won't proceed without an explicit...
Have experienced many hangfires over the years.
Pakistani .303 in a post sample Bren gun. It kinda just chugged along at a raggedy pace - the delays were all variable, but very short. Surprisingly only maybe one dud in a hundred. I was shooting prone from the bipod so all rounds impacted the...
In 30-06, the Korean KA headstamp was corrosive and the PS headstamp was non-corrosive. A few lots of both kinds had bad brass and would very occasionally rupture lengthwise at the case head, usually splitting all the way through the primer pocket. A lot of bent parts and busted stocks were...
Confirmed. It's LC 52 headstamp, in tan boxes with blue lettering (in English!). The boxes have very little info and don't look like anything at all like other USGI ammo, so it's easy to tell it's the Chinese corrosive stuff. When loose, it's a *****. Externally, the Chinese did a good job...
They may have used a white grease pencil and not paint...just something to consider. A nylon brush with some of the above mentioned solvent might get down into the letters better - if needed. Q tip would be the less aggressive approach and probably a good place to start.
Nice score! I would've grabbed those if I had the chance. Garand food!
FWIW, some people actually prefer the old style powder measures. Count me as one of those people :D They just run so smooth and have never given me a problem, so I never saw the need to upgrade my old ones to the new...
