      Firewood Season 2023

It's almost 60 degrees outside...the draft is going to be very poor in these conditions from my experience

      Firewood Season 2023

Was it colder outside ( compared to right now) over the past month when it ran fine? My stove is harder to light anytime it's over 40 outside. Under 40 and I can light it with 1 match. Air pressure, temp, wind, rain, all play a factor

      Firewood Season 2023

I just read your entire manual linked above. I think your problem lies in the gas path inside the stove. Since you have that oven on top, the smoke and gas travel path is different than 99% of other stoves. Pg 15 shows the path. In fact it has 2 different paths to take and a couple direction...

When it's warm out (above 45 degrees), it will take longer to get going....Is smoke coming out the chimney?

      Firewood Season 2023

Wet wood doesn't make enough heat to force it up the flue

      Firewood Season 2023

Forgot to add...if you are near noblesville, I'll give you a wheelbarrow full of known dry wood for your xmas fires.

      Firewood Season 2023

This will be hard to believe but my money says your wood is not as dry as you think. Try this and I bet you will have a xmas eve fire with no issues. From a cold stove: Shut off all items that move air in your home. Dryer, furnace, bathroom vent etc. Open the closest door or window to the...

      Any lawn experts?

What slim said most likely. Annual grasses germinate faster than perennial. The perennial most like barely germinated and died from our early drought. Soil ph and available nutrients most likely different in that area also. Re seed it now with some quality RTF seed, keep it watered, add...

      Found a Bow. Need Help.

Advice from a guy (me) who almost lost an ear when my old wooden limb browning bow decided it was time to de-laminate: DO NOT DRAW THAT BOW AT ALL!!!!! Replace the limbs or use it as decor. Not safe to shoot as is.

      Firewood question

Nobody wants to pay you to work. Best offer you might get is they take 75% and leave you 25% cut...even that's doubtful.

      2023 Smoking/Grilling/Cooking thread

You have the sickness also haha. On my patio smokers and grills multiply like gremlins. I'm at 5 and luckily out of room.

Very nice! You are gonna want to feed that beast wood unless you have an unlimited budget for charcoal. I use a chimney full of lump to start mine and then put wood on top from there on out.

My apologies. I was a little harsh on that. I'm in a much better mood today. Smoker is going with a brisket on it :) Fwiw, that gun isn't going anywhere and is affordable. Its owned by a friend. The needed glass, dies, etc all add to the package cost. Currently waiting for a nice deal on a...

      Should I buy it? 1973 rem700 300 win mag

I've spent over $10k cash fighting cancer in my dog in the last 90 days. Unless you are gonna donate some money to my gun fund, take your comment and go elsewhere. That's my polite version of fatwo

      Should I buy it? 1973 rem700 300 win mag

Title says it all. It's spent alot of time in the Alaskan bush and shows it. Bluing is worn in areas. Crown is good. Dings in stock. Missing the irons. 2lb trigger has been bubba'd and will fire if taken off safe. Obviously needs a new trigger assembly. Jewling on bolt seems worn. Bolt and bbl...

Check oil level. Most have a low oil shutoff switch. Usually not shipped with oil in them either. Also make sure fuel petcock is in on position
