You obviously failed to notice how special the cyclist was and yield to his awesomeness. Thankfully you were able to keep his poor choices from having any consequences for him but your bad attitude about the interaction cannot be tolerated.
People couldn't even handle a little rain and thunderstorms under low traffic volume without driving like complete morons yesterday. Marines and Armor units might be a better choice than the NG given the volume of idiots expected for the eclipse.
Whenever the topic of mental health comes up on here I'm frequently amazed at the level of ignorance expressed by so many. We're all ignorant of many, many things and ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing if we're willing to recognize it and correct it when it is pointed out. With mental...
Edey has had industrial strength plot armor so far so I'd be shocked if he is in any real foul trouble. Hopefully the refs don't make the game about them and let the players play.
Burns is a more skilled player and far more entertaining to watch but I'd be shocked if he isn't saddled with several quick fouls if he tries to guard Edey. If he does avoid foul trouble though, he has enough bulk to make it harder for Edey to elbow him out of the way on offense or shove him out...
Nice catch and I bet that was a heck of a fight!
FYI, Florida takes shark fishing very seriously, requiring those targeting sharks from shore and meeting certain requirements to pass an online course first. They also prohibit removing certain protected species from the water.
The better question is: why would the working class want the ruling class to be concerned with them? The expectation that someone else should care about and look out for them is exactly what gives the ruling class their power.
WIBC was reporting this morning that the Hampton Inn in Vincennes had at least one room still available... for $1,700 per night with a 4 night minimum!
If I were going to ride a bike in that area, I'd go much farther than required out of my way to ride on Whiteland Rd. or Smoky Row instead of SR 144. None of them are ideal but the reduction in volume of traffic along would make it worth it.
Some gunowners have been attempting to pass the blame onto things they don't understand nearly as long as the anti-2A crowd has been blaming guns and gun owners, neither of which they understand either. Stigmatizing what one doesn't understand and fears has been a thing long before guns even...
Yes, it doesn't take much to cause a long back up in that area. It's bad enough with the idiots in cars that insist on driving 10-15 under. Not the smartest road to ride a bike on but the behavior seems par for the course.
As someone who has gone for an involuntary swim in similarly cold water, it doesn't take long for the cold to sap you of your strength and stamina. It happens surprisingly quick. Without a PFD and help close at hand, it is very easy for someone to drown in cold water.
There are no food options on the water unless there are concessions at one of the marina's. The camp store for the Patoka Lake Campground is probably the closest place to buy groceries to the water.
