      Shipping a rifle?

And even if they did somehow end up reimbursing him directly, insurance reimbursement is based on the items documented value, not the amount of insurance paid for so paying for insurance over the actual value is wasting money.

New program launching in Indianapolis to provide safe place for people living in cars

If the "unconventionally" is riding a bike and the "living" is riding it in the road, then apparently they have every right to take an unimpeded road from others to their heart's content.

      2024 Bear Season

Opinions on bear meat vary widely but it is usually stated that the quality of it depends on the food source the bear had been focused on at the time it was killed. Bears that mostly feed at the local dump or that have been primarily feeding on fish or carrion are reportedly less palatable than...

      Those Good Ol' Illegal Aliens

Well, they're not wrong... the timing of the re-posting of a 2014 article is more than a little suspicious.

      8.6 Boombox Build - It's not a Q, it's a Whitetail.

I have a Savage Impulse waiting for an 8.6 barrel. That will likely fill my 8.6 needs until and unless Ruger chambers an SFAR in the caliber.

      Bobcat Season?

Wildlife are not pets, no matter how much people want to treat bobcats like housecats. Indeed, pets are rarely allowed to exist so unfettered and free of management as some insist that wildlife should be. Failure to manage wildlife rarely works out well for the wildlife in the long term. Nor are...

      Bobcat Season?

Purdue: "Bobcats in the state prefer forest edge habitat." Also Purdue: Maps suitable bobcat habitat as 9 or more contiguous, unbroken square miles of forest. Apparently there's no need for it to pass the laugh test as long as the conclusion is the one desired.

      Bobcat Season?

As expected, the proposed bobcat rules are half-assed and set primarily to fulfill the requirement to have a season instead of actually managing the population. Population management would be better served by requiring live trapping, transport to central Indiana and release. At least then...

      I'm at Walmart

I prefer to spot them from distance instead of being ambushed!

      2024 Deer Season

No, but think of all of the radishes you will have next spring and you may not even have to share them with the deer! In all seriousness, you probably won't get much growth unless we get significant rain soon but they will probably sprout.

      I'm at Walmart

Just a different kind of interesting. Those named Karen and confused about themselves are still interesting, just in a less endearing way.

      2024 Deer Season

More than once I've seen radish seeds over winter during a dry fall only to sprout vigorously in the spring. As long as nothing consumes the seeds and they don't get buried too deeply, they'll eventually germinate.

      9.10.24 Presidential Debate

From your perspective, mine as well, along with the most on here I'm sure, those statements are true. From a different perspective, there is little, real, immediate consequence to supporting unfettered illegal immigration. Few if any of the illegal immigrants are likely causing problems in his...

It looks like Slim's stand could be a little bit short but blinds 4' or more off of the ground are not required to have orange at all.

      Why the hate for Cyclists?

Cyclists just can't catch a break! Even when they are not enforcing their athoritah over resentful drivers on the roads or dodging poor, slow moving pedestrians on walking paths, there are longhorns waiting to ambush them in the woods.

      I'm at Walmart

When I worked at Walmart during college there were a number of teachers and factory workers who worked there after their day jobs for the benefits.

      9.10.24 Presidential Debate

That's an interesting perspective. Though I disagree, I really have to admire the flexibility it took to achieve it. I've never been anywhere near flexible enough to put my head in such a position.

      2024 Deer Season

If the Buck Hut is as well built as the Millennium universal blind platform I bought last year, I think you will be happy with it. The thing is well built and not anywhere near as difficult to assemble as online reviews claim.

      Ruger LC carbine in 10mm

I stand corrected then, I thought it looked like a proprietary mag and didn't realize Glock made 30 round 10mm mags.
