8x56r yes, I know, a real common round. Also the magazine is like a Carcano where it has a clip that you load and the spent clip drops out the bottom when empty. All my clips and ammo have the Nazi 'dirtybird' on them so I am not real eager to find out how it shoots.- Mongo59

T/C was purchased by S&W because they wanted their barrel factory. They had been offering the name for sale for years now but no one bit due to having to honor the lifetime guarantee on all the previously made items. Yes, that is the revised version, what I call an umbrella slider. The flares hit the receiver and slide it back to allow the shells to pass. With the others the metal block has a small spring steel detent in a grove to provide the same action. -

I got rid of my PSL, it couldn't hit the floor with it's hat. It was brand new and shipped from the factory and you would think you couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle when you shot the thing. I hope you have better luck than I did, I haven't shot any others for comparison nor did... -

A squirrel'n piece that is heavier than a M1 Garand! I think most modern automobiles have less metal in them than this thing. They were the first .22's that offered multiple shots, and it held enough so you can shoot until you are tired of carrying it. -

My research has shown me there should be a flat spring steel detent in the bottom grove to the inner glider (with the screw in it) from jcj54's pic. Apparently the "newer ones" had a sliding collar made out of spring steel. Thanks for the pics, I have a handle on it now. This one was made in... -
