      Help identifying some recent guns I inherited

      CM is correct the first rifle is a Norinco SKS in 7.62x39. It might fetch 400 these days. Possibly more. The second is a sporterized Mosin Nagant 7.62x54R. It is probably worth the 200 someone offered you. If they have any sentimental value to you at all I highly recommend you keep them.

      I believe that was him. He is deranged and a little light in the loafers in my opinion. Also, the girl in the light colored jacket is a national hero. Just wish she could have hit him with a “bless your heart”.

      Having seen the “average” shooter at the public ranges I am not at all surprised but very thankful that clown missed. People who purchase a gun and shoot it maybe once a year always vastly over estimate their own abilities.

      What is your least favorite smell?

      A tie between Gary Indiana and a birthing room at a hospital that was supposedly “clean”. The floor was sticky and smelled worse than dead fish. The smell from human corpses has its own category. Almost has a presence to it. (Military experiences)

      Update! With the new trigger guard and old stock the rifle functions 100%. I put the new stock on and the bolt is dragging so bad I didn’t fire it. For now I will use the old stock for shooting and the new one for display. I plan to work with the new stock over the July 4th holiday.

      I haven’t tested it yet. I have a little time available Sunday and definitely a range trip scheduled for July 4th. Summers are really busy for some reason. I will definitely let you know.
