Yes, you can use any .223 die for both. IMHO the big hang up is with the higher pressure the 556x45 can run. A reasonable .223 load will not be a problem in a 556 barrel.
Now, do you want to talk about bullet weights and barrel twist rates?
4' long you say? It's almost like the guy that cut it up knew it could be rescued from the chipper by a lucky soul such as you and turned into 16" firewood.
On the topic of storing the progressive, here is what I built.
The press
The box
Inside the box
There isn't anything inside the box that is temp or humidity sensitive, but it is not waterproof. It is styled after a wooden artillery shell box. I had a good time building it.
This configuration is what I used for my NRA Highpower campaign in the 1990s. Mine was the Armalite variety (which the last time I checked, they no longer produce) and I have great nostalgia for this platform. I suppose the MSRP is not a surprise considering today's economy and in 1994 I paid...
So if you do find a person selling what you need, how are you going to pay for it? Paper currency will be worthless. 9mm 115gr FMJ? Pretty valuable. Do you trade away your safety for a little sustenance? Will they come back later and use your ammo against you to reclaim what they sold you...
The biggest problem I have with that feeder in that location is ants climbing up the shepherds hook. I spray bug killer at the base and half way up the pole to keep them off and not affect the hummers.
I don't try to keep the bees away as they need all the help they can get.
Every time I order something on the interwebz, I hold by breath and pray it arrives intact. I can think of a hundred things I'd rather do instead of filing a damage claim for a package I received.
First sighting JUST NOW :woot:
We saw/heard one buzz past a couple weeks ago in Owen County. The feeder here in Indy has been out for a week but I think they've been stopping by, I just haven't seen them.
