      I too just bought my first 1911. After a lot of research (here on Ingo and believe it or not You Tube) I bought a Colt 1911 XSE (Lightweight). It's worth its money. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Personally RIA, Remington, Rock Island and a lot of "lower brands" all had issues...

      I have decided to finally buy a 1911 colt now which one. 2011 1911 Stainless Colt Commander or 2011 XSE 1911 Government (Blue) I will be carrying this daily. Both are the same price ($800.00 to $850.00) Weight difference is about 3.5 ozs Barrel difference is 3/4" Okay which one to buy?
