Good luck. Go for height unless you're doing bush beans (which are still capable of vining a few feet; ask me how I know). Pole eans are relatively indeterminate in height. I know mine have hit the 6' mark and then started growing back down the trellising and vining on the upward stems. Easily 8-9' of bean vine. But they are good eatin'. Friendly hint: harvest at just slightly larger than pencil thin. If you can see the beans' outline in the pod, it's too late.
Totally welcome. Have you grown beans before? My beans have always been extremely heavy. I'm actually rigging a 2x2 and 2x4 frame with lattice canopy to support them this year. They've pulled down everything else I've used in the past.
